India e-Arrival Card – Eligible Countries 2026

From 1 April 2026, the India e-Arrival Card is mandatory for virtually all foreign nationals arriving in India by air. This page lists the nationalities required to complete the Su-Swagatam registration.

Who Must Complete the e-Arrival Card?

  • All foreign nationals holding a valid Indian visa (eVisa or paper visa)
  • OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) cardholders – mandatory since 4 October 2025
  • Foreign nationals arriving for business, tourism, medical treatment, or conferences
  • Children and minors (completed by parent or guardian)

United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, and all other American nations with Indian eVisa eligibility.

Europe

United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, and all other EU/EEA member states.

Asia-Pacific

Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other eVisa-eligible Asian nations.

Middle East & Africa

UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Israel, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and other eVisa-eligible nations.

Who Is Exempt?

Indian citizens (Indian passports) do not need the e-Arrival Card. Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan (visa-free entry to India) are generally exempt – verify with current official guidance. Pakistani nationals should check with the Indian High Commission.
